"Overflights consists of images taken during a flight. The underlying photographic material often shows little more than random snapshots taken from an airplane window. The uniqueness of the journey only emerges in retrospect and its contemplative processing. New works are constantly being created within this series, which will be shown here gradually."
Images rémantes I
"Images rémanentes or afterimages, are phantom images. They are shadowy and indistinct, like memories. I use this term in its broadest sense; remembered landscapes are also afterimages that defy localization and, over time, come to represent something for which there is no longer a concrete equivalent. The strong signal color red in the first works shown here diminishes until black takes over and the afterimages, like memories, darken or are erased. I conceive of these works cyclically: in the darkness, the landscape changes until a new landscape encounters a bright light for milliseconds and transitions into the next sequence of afterimages."
